Our history.
PSI – a Polish spring manufacturer ist origins date back to 1949. From a cobbler’s workshop founded by veterans of the Union of War Invalids, through the construction of the Metal Production Plant at Brzeska 72 (1976), to today’s Tier-2 automotive supplier certified to IATF 16949.

First production
The cooperative begins service and production activity in the tailoring and cobbling trades.
Own transport
Purchase of external transport – a significant fleet expansion.
Plant construction
Start of construction of the Metal Production Plant – the first dedicated spring factory.
Administrative building
Ready for use the administrative building of the new plant.
Spring production
Launch of a training facility and takeover of spring production from the APATOR (Toruń) and APENA (Bielsko-Biała) plants.
Brzeska 72
Completion of the Metal Production Plant at ul. Brzeska 72 in Siedlce – PSI’s current headquarters.
Sheltered Workshop
PSI obtains Workplace for People with Disabilities (ZPCh) status.
Automotive start
Start of production of car-seat components for FSM Bielsko-Biała. A visit to P. A. RENTROP HUBERT & WAGNER (STATHAGEN branch) in Germany regarding production of spring inserts for car seats for VOLKSWAGEN AG.
First CNC
Purchase of the first numerically controlled spring-coiling machines from the French company TC-HP – the start of the CNC era.
FEDERNWERKE
Start of cooperation with the German company FEDERNWERKE (Marienberg) – a strategic automotive-industry partner (structural car-seat components).
REBIMAT (Reflinghaus)
Purchase of a REBIMAT wire bending and forming machine from the German company REFLINGHAUS – expansion of the wire line.
WAFIOS BMS-5
Purchase of a twin-head BMS-5 wire bending and forming machine from the German company WAFIOS – a key step in wire-processing automation.
PSI brand
Change of the logo to “THE SPRING” and of the cooperative’s name to PSI – Spółdzielczy Producent Sprężyn.
ISO 9002 + Fiat + ABB
Implementation of the ISO 9002 Quality Management System and obtaining a Supply Quality Certificate for FIAT AUTO POLAND. Purchase and launch of the first ABB robotic welding station.
BIHLER machines
Purchase of a group of BIHLER machines for producing shaped springs from wire and strip – industrial scale.
QS 9000 + ISO 14001
Implementation of the QS 9000 Quality Management System for the automotive industry and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Plant expansion
Expansion of the plant with a production section and raw-material and finished-goods warehouses (about 2000 m² in total).
ISO/TS 16949
Implementation of the Quality Management System to ISO/TS 16949.
First CNC machining centre
Purchase of the first 3-axis VCE 800 CNC machining centre for the Tooling Department.
Car-Seat Department hall
Expansion of the plant with a new production hall for the Seat Department (about 1500 m²). The expansion set a record of processing over 300 tonnes of wire per month.
IATF 16949:2016
Implementation of the Quality Management System to IATF 16949:2016.
5-axis MICRON MIL
Purchase of a 5-axis MICRON MIL milling centre for the Tooling Department.
350 kWp photovoltaics
Launch of a 350 kWp photovoltaic installation using renewable energy for the plant’s own needs.
Faro Quantum 3D scanner
Purchase of a Faro Quantum 3D measuring scanner for the Quality Control Department.
