Retaining rings

Wire retaining rings (also called circlips or securing rings) are used mainly to secure components against axial movement on shafts or in bores. They are among the most commonly used spring elements in mechanics, machine building, automotive and precision systems. We also make custom rings on special order.

Applications

  • Axial securing on shafts – rings fitted in shaft grooves prevent gears, bearings, sleeves and other elements from sliding.
  • Securing in bores – internal retaining rings hold elements in sleeves, seats and guides, blocking their axial movement.
